Doctor of physical therapy (DPT) is our newly offered program under the umbrella of faculty of allied health sciences. The program is designed for the students, who want to proceed their career in the field of physical therapy. Physiotherapist are the highly skilled health professionals to deal multiple disorders. Currently there is huge demand of skilled physiotherapists in all over the world including Pakistan. There is increasing demand of Physiotherapists in Pakistan, while number of physiotherapist in country are in hundreds. International Institute of Science, Arts and Technology aims to train students to fulfill the required workforce as professionally skilled physiotherapist, equipped to provide quality care through the role of clinician, researcher and consultant.
Objectives
Allied health professionals are the trained skill individuals that serve to prevent multiple disease prognosis, disease transmission, diagnose and treat the patients. Human body is a complicated biological system that demands multiple ways to take care of it. At International Institute of Science, Arts and Technology, doctorate students of Allied health sciences are prepared for research, treatment and other relevant professions.
Career Opportunities
This program will equip the students to become physiotherapist, helping patients with physical difficulties arising from illness, injury, disability or ageing. Physiotherapists promote health, wellbeing and assist rehabilitation by developing body systems – in particular the neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Physiotherapists may also find their career in sports, serving as professional sports physiotherapist. Sports physiotherapists can develop individualized plans for the treatment and prevention of sports injuries.
Eligibility Criteria
12 years of education (Intermediate or equivalent) with at least 60% marks, in case of O/A Levels, equivalence from IBCC shall be required.
